NAEYC's 2024 Virtual Public Policy Forum
Sunday, February 25 & Monday, February 26
Join NAEYC for our virtual Public Policy Forum, where we will bring together hundreds of early childhood educators and stakeholders to strengthen our advocacy skills, expand our policy knowledge, deepen our relationships with Congressional offices, and build a powerful movement across states and communities!
This year’s event will be held virtually, with dozens of live and on-demand sessions, in recognition of staffing and financial challenges facing child care programs and providers, and to provide equitable, accessible opportunities for a diverse group of new and seasoned educators and advocates from all over the country to access the benefits of Public Policy Forum! We are particularly excited this year to be partnering with the Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children to highlight and embed content on advocating for and supporting inclusive care for children with disabilities and developmental delays.
Whether you have tons of advocacy experience, or none at all, NAEYC's Public Policy Forum is THE place for you to sharpen your skills and help us move a nonpartisan agenda in support of young children and the early childhood education profession!
As a Virtual Public Policy Forum participant, NAEYC members have the opportunity to:
- Be part of a powerful team working to advance federal and state early childhood policy
- Engage with national and state policy leaders and fellow advocates on the most important, timely, and relevant ECE issues
- Get the resources and experiences you need to be an informed and effective advocate
- Meet with your Congressional offices

Cost and Registration
NAEYC’s Public Policy Forum is a members-only function. This year, we’ve made it easier for those without a current NAEYC membership to join us!
- $100 for current NAEYC members
- $130 for non-NAEYC members. This fee includes the cost of an Entry-level NAEYC membership, so you can register for Policy Forum and become a NAEYC member.
- PLEASE NOTE: The event registration is non-transferrable and non-refundable.
Registration for the 2024 event is now closed.
State Teams
Registration is open to NAEYC members “in good standing” status. Nonmembers are invited to register at the nonmember rate which will include the event registration and an Entry Level Membership which will be active within 30 days of the purchase.
Once registered, participants are placed in state teams to promote relationship and network-building, which is a key component of Public Policy Forum. Each state has a State Team Lead, who will coordinate virtual Congressional meetings with state team members, as well as at least one opportunity for all Policy Forum participants from their state to connect as a state team. After you register, keep an eye out for emails from your State Team Lead with more information about meetings and opportunities to engage.
NAEYC Partners with DEC
In addition, this year, NAEYC is delighted to announce that we are partnering with the Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children to highlight and embed content on advocating for and supporting inclusive care for children with disabilities and developmental delays. We look forward to deepening our collective work and support in this critical and much-needed area!
"On behalf of DEC members, I want to express our excitement about this year's partnership with NAEYC at the Virtual Public Policy Forum. This has long been a goal for both organizations. Inclusive services and the policies that support them require shared leadership, common goals, and relationships. We look forward to the forum and state teams impact on our shared value of high quality, equitable services and supports for young children, their families, and the professionals who serve them."—Peggy Kemp, Executive Director, DEC
