An email I just got from a caterer regarding wedding reception planning:
Hi Ben,
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! Harold Washington Library is beautiful. Your guests will be blown

I don’t know about you, but unless that was an unfortunate omission, I’m thinking at this point that, for the sake of our guests, we should definitely spring for the Library, no?
Can I come to the wedding? Sounds amazing!

What is it with you men and libraries? The library is the LAST place I want to be when I’m having a party! When we were looking at the Newberry, I’m pretty sure Rob only liked it because he’d plan on sneaking away to check out their well-reputed collection of Native American works. :shudder:
Library is beautiful. It just depends on how practical you are feeling. Its just one day!!
