And Away We Go

It’s official: I’m a Medscape weblogger for their medical student group weblog, The Differential. You might notice that all the others are actual medical students studying actual medicine, while I’m chillin’ in the corner, running some gels, wearing jeans, and coming in late all the time, and trying to keep all my tumor suppressors straight from my oncogenes. (Don’t worry: I’ve got a 2×4 poster with pretty much every conceivable cancer pathway on it 12 inches from my face in the lab. I’ll learn this stuff in no time! First item of business: Figure out why Ras is everywhere.)

Anyway, it’s safe to say that my posts will have a slightly different flare from the rest given my relative lack of clinical experience, and many of them will probably lean more toward the research life. At any rate, you should check it out. I won’t be cross-posting between there and here, so be sure to bookmark it.

  1. Because Ras is the new 42. Duh.

Actually, I think of p53 as the new 42.

  2. So then shouldn’t it be p42? Or is MAP kinase the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?

  3. Yes. Forget about robots and aliens. MAPK will take over everything.
