So Much A Cappella (Reprise)
Around this time last year, I was killing myself trying to finish up judging for the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs), the Grammys of the a cappella kingdom.
I’m at it again this year. While it’s nice to have been selected again to do this and to have free (albeit temporary) access to the best of the best a cappella that was put out last year, it’s damn time-consuming. My ears hurt, and I’ve only even started listening to one category of my six.

$25 for a ticket to Harmony Sweeps!? Is that a typo? If not, I think they are a little ambitious.
Nope, it was $25 last year too. Quite a bargain for 462 consecutive hours of straight-up, annoying-as-all-hell, lame, punny a cappella.
Do the fiances of group members get free tickets? It will not be as much fun this year without you there to help me make fun of people. Maybe I will smuggle some beer in…that will make all the terrible jokes actually funny. Oh wait, the crazy old door ladies will get me.
Seriously, $25?!? That is more than some professional shows.
