I am getting similar voice mails, emails and USPS mail from AmX ever since I canceled my gold card two weeks ago.
VM: "This is NOT a sales call. You need to contact us immediately about an important matter regarding your account."

EM: Your account is seriously past due. You have a past due balance of $0.00, of which $0.00 is due immediately.

This is indicative of my experience with them. The past 4 times I've had businss trips, I called them to tell them, "I'm travelling to "somewhere city" and will be using my AmX card for hotel and expenses. I expect to spend "$amount" on my card." I get to said hotel in "somewhere city", check in, they swipe my card and say it's been denied. So there at the front desk I'm calling AmX to find out WTF is going on. "Oh, I'm sorry Mr. gayCMEguy. I don't know why this happened, it's in the system that you called, and the account was cleared for the charges." Four times in a row. And they wonder why I cancelled my account and don't want to pay $125.00 annually for this level of incompetent customer service. F-you very much AmX. Visa, it's where you want to be.
