Regardless of whether or not Powell has officially endorsed or will at some point endorse Obama, at this point it would be idiotic for McCain to choose Powell as a running mate, tantamount to Obama choosing Karl Rove as a running mate. Powell has also said repeatedly that he doesn’t want to serve as Vice President at this time.
