Whew. Glad that’s (almost) over with. Today was a perfect storm of sorts, one of those feared supreme convergences of pretty much every assignment you could imagine, all due on the same day.

So far today, I’ve given two presentations and turned in one paper; two other papers remain to be turned in this evening.

You may imagine that I didn’t sleep much last night, as most of it was spent at Starbucks. What sleep I did get was instantly interrupted by a hairy orange cat-beast, who has recently taken to sitting in front of your face, beginning around 4 or 5 AM, and meowing at you from point-blank until you get up and feed him. Then, upon inevitably returning to bed, you first begin to wonder why you’re taking orders from a feline and then, later, am I even awake? What the hell is going on here? Then you swear a little more and fall back asleep, only to be awoken once again to find the same cat, four minutes later, batting off of your desk everything that is not plugged in.

Anyway, all that’s left for the quarter are three classes, two one-page papers, and one exam over the next week and a half. Not too shabby.
